For the first time in several years (possibly ever), Oldham Cricket Club will be fielding three teams on the same day.
The unusual situation has come about because of a rare twist of fortune, where the First and Second team both managed to win their first round cup fixtures, whilst Unsworth’s 2nd team lost to Norden, meaning they are still able to host our 3rd XI match.
The Firsts will host Walsden (a replay of yesterday’s fixture), whilst the Seconds will once again make the return journey, hoping to exact revenge for yesterday’s 200 run defeat. Paddy Lockett will be taking a relatively inexperienced third team to Unsworth.
Breakfast is being served at the club today: 2nd and 3rd XI from 10am, 1sts from 10:45; last orders at 11:30.
